How to Get Started

- A suitable date for your appointment (appointments available every first three Saturdays of the month at 9:00 AM).
Required Documents
Bring These on Your Appointment Date:
- Eye Test Certificate (not older than 3 months)
- One ID Photo (required only if your driver’s license is expired)
- Original ID Book or ID Card
- Expired or Soon-to-Expire Driver’s License Card
- Two Copies of Your ID
- Two ID Photos
- Black Pen
- Completed DL1 Form
Lost or Stolen Driver’s License
If your driver’s license card has been lost or stolen, you’ll need:
- The same documents listed above (except for the original license card)
- Police affidavit stating your license was lost or stolen
- Two ID Photos

Renewal Information
- Validity Period: Driver’s license cards are valid for 5 years. The expiry date is printed below your license number on your card.
- Renewal Timeline: Licenses should be renewed at least 4 weeks before the expiry date.
- Processing Time: New license cards take about 6–8 weeks to be processed.
Collection of Your New License
Once your license is ready, you’ll be notified via SMS or email. To collect it:
- Visit the licensing department in person, or
- Send someone to collect it on your behalf. The person collecting on your behalf will need:
- A certified copy of your ID
- A certified copy of their own ID
- A police affidavit authorizing them to collect your license
