Documents You Need to Submit
For South African Citizens
- Clear copy of your identity document
- Proof of residential or company address (utility bill or bank statement – first page)
- If the utility bill is not in your name:
- An affidavit from the bill owner declaring your residence
- A copy of the bill owner’s ID attached to the affidavit
- For informal settlement residents:
- Letter with an official date stamp from the ward councillor confirming your address
- Certificate of Incorporation or Name Change (for company vehicles)
- Completed NCP Form (Notification of Change of Address or Particulars of Owner)
For Foreign Nationals
- Original and certified copy of your identity document (issued by your country of origin)
- Temporary residence permit
- Proof of residential or company address (utility bill or bank statement – first page)
- If the utility bill is not in your name:
- An affidavit from the bill owner declaring your residence
- A copy of the bill owner’s ID attached to the affidavit
- For informal settlement residents:
- Letter with an official date stamp from the ward councillor confirming your address
- Certificate of Incorporation or Name Change (for company vehicles)
- Completed NCP Form
- Completed ANR Form (Notice in Respect of Traffic Register Number – required only for foreign nationals)

- You’ve moved to a new home or office
- You need to update details for company or personal vehicles
- It has been within 21 days of the change
All updates must be processed at the relevant licensing department within 21 days to remain compliant.
